Be part of the excitement, become a billet today!
Every year the Las Vegas Thunderbirds will welcome 25 players from around the world to Nevada. Their stay lasts anywhere from a single day to a whole season.
Our players need a caring and safe environment in which they feel at home. This takes time, patience, and a willingness to share on your family’s behalf.
What makes a great Host Family?
Being a host family takes time and dedication. Understanding that the player is away from their family, that this player is a young adult, and that getting used to a new environment can be tough. The best way to overcome this transition is for you to share your lifestyle in a positive, safe, and caring manner.
Make Time
Don’t be afraid to make time to spend with your player. The player needs to feel like they are part of your family, and including them in your daily activities is essential to a caring environment in which the player feels like they are at home.
What you can provide
– A private bedroom and closet
– Nutritious Meals (daily)
– The same guidance and care that you would show for your children
